Expression of Interest: Chamber Treasurer Role Now Open

Are you passionate about Gunnedah’s future and driven to support local business growth and economic sustainability? The Gunnedah Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dedicated Treasurer to join our Executive Board.

About the Role:

The Treasurer plays a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health of the Chamber, ensuring transparent and accurate reporting, and supporting strategic financial decision-making. This is a voluntary position contributing to the strength and sustainability of the Gunnedah business community.

Key Responsibilities Include:

·      Overseeing financial transactions and reporting.

·      Preparing monthly financial reports for the Executive Board and Committee.

·      Managing the Chamber’s budget and providing insights for financial planning.

·      Ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.

·      Working closely with the Chamber’s Executive Advisor to ensure clear financial oversight.

Ideal Candidate:

• A background in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to transparency.

• A passion for supporting local business growth and contributing to the Gunnedah region's economic sustainability.

• A willingness to actively engage with Chamber initiatives and our Gunnedah Beyond 2050 strategy.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
