Next Gen Speaker Spotlight: David Errington

David Errington is a passionate advocate for innovation in regional manufacturing and the Managing Director of Apollo Engineering, a proudly family-owned business based in Tamworth, NSW.

With over 30 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, David began as an apprentice fitter and machinist in his family’s original operation, later returning to Tamworth to lead Apollo into a new era of smart automation, collaborative robotics, and sustainable industrial design.

Under his leadership, Apollo Engineering has focused heavily of innovative research and product development, establishing a vertically integrated business model that has triggered expansion into complimentary products and service models that support their core business and plays to their strengths. In recognition of their efforts and commitment to Australian Manufacturing, Apollo Engineering was awarded Manufacturer of the Year (50+ Employees) at the Hunter Manufacturing Awards in 2024.

David also serves as President of the Tamworth Business Chamber, where he champions economic growth, collaboration, and local capability building across regional NSW.
