Next Gen Speaker Spotlight: Aaron Kumar

Aaron Kumar is the New South Wales General Manager for Komatsu Australia (an industry-leading manufacturer and supplier of mining and construction equipment, technologies, parts and services for the construction, forklift, mining, government, waste, and quarry sectors).

After starting his career as a licensed real estate agent, Aaron moved into the Construction and Mining industry in 2006. Recently celebrating 21 years of service with Komatsu Australia, Aaron has a proven track record across a range of customer facing and operational roles. In his current role Aaron is responsible for a team of over 400 industry professionals, a machine population of more than 5,000 units, and sales in excess of AUD550 million.

In his time at Komatsu Australia, Aaron has been recognised for his experience in organisational reform, business integration and building high performance teams. Aaron has a long list of accolades- some of which include 7 nominations for the prestigious Komatsu Australia Managing Directors award more recently was recognised for 2 Global Supply Chain awards for his efforts ensuring “security of supply” through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Proud to be the youngest Executive Leader at Komatsu Australia. This success is borne from being a people focused and results driven leader, with a proven record in managing diverse teams, multiple business functions and exceeding operational activities and targets.

Aaron is passionate about employee engagement, diversity (both gender and generational), and empowering his team to perform at peak levels through instilling a positive workplace culture.
