Supporting Young Leaders and Future Talent

Komatsu Australia actively invests in developing the next generation of industry leaders through various initiatives:​

Youth STEM Program:

Launched during National Skills Week in August 2024, this program targets school and university students, as well as recent graduates. It includes promoting STEM directly through schools, technical workshops and seminars tailored to students and educators, work experience and placements throughout Komatsu, and partnering with educational organisations to help develop curriculums and hands-on learning experiences.

Partnership with STEM Punks: 

As part of the youth program, Komatsu collaborated with educational organisation STEM Punks to deliver workshops for students in years 7–9. These sessions introduced students to autonomous vehicles and the data and technology that drive them, allowing hands-on experience with simulations and challenges.

Apprentice Development System (ADS):

Komatsu's commitment to people development is evident through its comprehensive apprenticeship training program, the ADS. This system has been recognized for its excellence, earning Komatsu the Australian Apprenticeships Employer Award in 2023
